LIFEWALK 2011

The Alpha Family Center of Newaygo is preparing for our annual LifeWalk on May 14^th, at Riverfront Park in Newaygo.  Alpha has been serving in Newaygo County for eleven years and we want to honor all of those who have served so faithfully.  With our economy struggling, our client visits have increased drastically by over 41% and the items that our clients have purchased with their “Alpha Bucks” have also gone up by 61%.  Won't you help us serve families in Newaygo County? 

Registration for the walk begins at 9:30, with the walk starting at 10:00 a.m., and all walkers will receive a free shirt at registration.  The walk is a short, two mile walk along the beautiful Muskegon River and the Newaygo downtown area.  After the walk we will be celebrating with a picnic for everyone.  Hot dogs, chips, desserts and more will be served to say thank you to all who have served at Alpha, supported Alpha, and for our walkers and donors.  Please bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the celebration.

It is not too late to sign up to walk, to sponsor someone, or to underwrite our event.  To underwrite LifeWalk, a donation of $100 or more will buy you a sponsor sign that all of our walkers will see as they walk along the route.  Prizes for the top three walkers include a pass for four for an overnight stay at Great Wolf Lodge, Four tickets to Michigan Adventure, four tickets to see the WhiteCaps, and an overnight stay at the Shack.  If you or someone you know would like to walk this year, please contact our office for a pledge form.  If you would like to sponsor a walker, call the Alpha office at 231-652-1548 or stop by at 8849 Mason Drive, Newaygo, Monday through Thursday during business hours; 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
